Cover Robert Schroeder / Harmonic Ascendant

In 1979 the publication could be celebrated by Robert Schroeder's debut album HARMONIC ASCENDANT. And this not without reason, because HARMONIC ASCENDANT did not hit for relations at that time and a music kind anyway rather unpopular at this time, nevertheless, quite astonishing waves which themselves reached the distant foreign countries. Alone in Germany more than 10,000 LPs could be sold in the first year.

"For German relations already a small sensation"
(Headline einer Tageszeitung, AVZ, BRD, 1980)," place Nr.-2 " (media TOP LIST, the FRG, in 1980), " a renewal of the romantic music " (2li, Switzerland, in 1980).

Cover Robert Schroeder / Floating Music

A year later, in 1980, Schroeder continued his successful entrance with the second LP FLOATING MUSIC. Also this production became, according to the opinion of famous German music magazines, as for example SOUNDS, SPOTLIGHT: "one of the best records on the sector of the electronic music".

The German MUSIK EXPRESS (issue 04/1981) wrote: "Floating Music, the second record of the Aachen romanticism electronics engineer.... Floating Music has become, as expected, again a soundtrack for aesthetes. Music to the look in the deep black darkness of the night, in the radiant blue eyes of a nice woman, in a glass fully igneously of red wine, to the journey in the blue, for staying in the Green ... "

On the "INTERNATIONAL MUSIC EXPOSITION" (SIM) in Italy the cover was appointed by Floating Music to the best cover of 1984.

  Cover Robert Schroeder / Mosaique

In 1981 Robert Schroeder the third LP MOSAIQUE was published. Like every present production was also marked Mosaique by Schroeder's independent style and sound and richly in change.

MOSAIQUE retreated from the frame of the character usual at that time of Electronic Music clearly. Here Schroeder combined the style patterns of the "old electronics school" with the timbres of "real" instruments. To produce a successful experiment, electronic music under use of conventional music instruments (bass, drums, E guitar, synthesizer). (Application of the first PPG digitally synthesizer).

Cover Robert Schroeder / Galaxie Cygnus A

On the occasion of the world-renowned ARS-Electronica (Linz / Austria) the LP GALAXY CYGNUS A was produced in 1982 and published. GALAXY CYGNUS A was also the title of a multi-medium show, an optical-acoustic event with look in the space which Robert Schroeder had performed for the first time together with a German SF-author in 1982 on the ARS-Electronica in Linz (with TV transference in Austria and the FRG). GALAXY CYGNUS A is an interpretation and composition to the "rushing" of the radio-galaxy of the same name in the sign of the zodiac swan. The white rushing of these 1.05 milliard light years distant radio-galaxy was received with the worldwide biggest movable radio telescope (Effelsberg / Eifel /FRG) and was taped. For Schroeder this was the first project abroad.

  Cover Robert Schroeder / Pegasus

Also he created in 1982/83 the controversial music PEGASUS. PEGASUS was published only in 1990 on the IC-label which was not led since 1983 any more by Klaus Schulze. PEGASUS is authorised as a Schroeder's release not by Robert, because PEGASUS was intended at the moment of the origin (82/83) only as book-MC (addition). Also PEGASUS should be a pseudonym for the artist Robert Schroeder and not the title of the work. Musically PEGASUS is absolutely defensible, also for Robert, is probably noticed for the 82'nd production. Nevertheless, as a regular Schroeder's publication the artist does not see PEGASUS, because it was planned neither in 1982 as a regular solo product, nor would have been acceptable by the publication in 1990 as a solo release because it is just the 82nd sound.

Cover Charly-B Single

For Robert Schroeder the synthesizer and the today's studio electronics is an instrument with limitless flexibility by which he feels requested to a just so adaptable and limitless application. The technical variety entices - lets and curve a musician like Robert also with pleasure to the musical variety. Thus he produced now and then also already once music groups, the commercial, but "electronically" oriented pop, disco do supra to rock music. Besides, he has produced, for example, in 1982 the NDW tape CHARLY-B or has taken over the synthesizers programming with the TORA production from JOHN CAPAC (producer Supertramp, Diana Ross).

  Cover Robert Schroeder / Paradise

PARADISE (1983), the fifth solo LP of the German artist, showed clearly that Robert Schroeder has other thoughts about an "other kind of electronic music" seemed to come along. The music of his publications changed constantly. In addition Robert even: "A growing musician goes through a constant development, he has to find himself. However, besides, clear recognition times, peculiarities of the artist continue, from the outset and harden more and more to that what corresponds to the artist. He is found". PARADISE is different, but typical and unmistakeably Robert Schroeder.

SKYWALKER, a danceable and rousing re-mix extraction from the LP PARADISE, in 1983 published as 7 " (singles) and 12 " (Maxi singles), found astonishing resonance with the audience. Through this followed around multiple raised broadcasting company applications at home and abroad, live appearances at home and abroad and TV appearances in the FRG. In a co-production of West German TV and Schroeder originated spectacular SKYWALKER-TV-Special with 13-headed ballet ("SHOWSTART" with Jürgen von der Lippe, ARD, 18.08.1983). The choreography led Louis Bartoletto + (NewYork).

Of Schroeder continuously rising popularity new ways allowed to open for the "young artist from Aachen".
Between his respective solo releases he realised various music projects for the industry.

Started with excellent advertising musics and presentation musics for enterprise as for example ATARI-Computer and in 1984, for example, the MusiCassette THE STORY OF THE FINAL LEGACY originated, up to active developing work on a synthesizer system of the Japanese industrial giant SEIKO by which Robert came in 1984 to Tokyo.

In the middle of 1984 the contractual obligations ran out between Robert Schroeder and the IC-label after five-year-old collaboration and he changed to the da-music Ltd (Deutsche Austrophon GmbH). Schroeder's baking catalogue was taken over with this change likewise from the da-music Ltd and was offered furthermore consistentely.

The Maxi single BLACK OUT / GALACTIC FLOOR (1984) was the first product under new connection. Musically a continuation and advancement of SKYWALKER, namely danceable, rhythmical electronics pop without song.

In 1984 another two other Schroeder's releases from the baptism were lifted. On the one hand, the publication of the production PARADISE as compact disc (LP release 1983) which was with it the first Schroeder's CD, and on the other hand the publication of his 6th solo production COMPUTER VOICE, as a LP and as a CD.

COMPUTER VOICE
is a kind of chronicle of Schroeder's present music creating, a fusion of his best titles published till then (new admissions) with new compositions and new sound. Also COMPUTER VOICE is a degree wandering between experimental, spherical electronics and rhythmical pop music.

The music magazine SPOTLIGHT (issue 10 / 84) called Schroeder once appropriately as a musical chameleon.

Guest's musicians by the COMPUTER VOICE admissions were the guitarist CHARLY BUECHEL and the bassist MICKI MEUSER (Ideal, Ina Deter).

With the Robert Schroeder's seventh publication BRAIN VOYAGER eyes and ears opened in many places, because with BRAIN VOYAGER the music world got a special sound carrier. BRAIN VOYAGER is the soundtrack to in 1985 in the FRG in 3D effect filmed Ludwig TIECK novella "DES LEBENS ÜBERFLUSS".Here by a new production procedure Schroeder lent to his music "SPACE" in the most true sense of the word.BRAIN VOYAGER is the worldwide first CD publication with music admissions in so-called ART HEAD TECHNOLOGY. ART HEAD (or often called dummyhead) and DIGITALLY was here the sound formula which allows to experience the work in the crystal clear supersound. The soft Electronics Music moved with classical here elements carries a character spatial really distinctively by the new production procedure, sounds are completely discernible. The technology moreover, the so-called AACHEN ART HEAD, was developed by Dr. GENUIT in RWTH Aachen.A prominent and noteworthy production was and is unconditional BRAIN VOYAGER. And recognised one not only the nationwide media and hi-fi freaks (the CD received in the magazine Audio/1986 the evaluation HiFi reference CD). Also the foreign country became attentive by BRAIN VOYAGER massively on Robert Schroeder. Here followed licence agreements with the USA, Brazil, Canada, U.K. and Australia.

In 1986 Robert Schroeder still began the second career, under the name Double Fantasy in U.S.A., CANADA and the FRG immediately with the first album UNIVERSAL AVE. headlines did.

The artists DREAMSTAR (R.Schroeder) and Charly McLion proved the golden combination which makes Double Fantasy very simple to Double Fantasy. Double Fantasy's style is incomparable and independently in his kind. Soft, rhythmical and flowing along E-sound and melody thing, accompanied from pleasantly stimulating and with feeling played and merged E-guitar lines, complements with many highlights for good feeling - this is a music, especially in the U.S.A., just because of these typical characters when so-called is heard easily listening music very much with pleasure - and Double Fantasy especially there allowed to become successful. In Germany the duet Double Fantasy with UNIVERSAL AVE. in the oscillation choice in '86 of the West German Radio (radio) the position-4-in the section the BEST Instrumental music in '86, position-8-in the section BEST TRENCHES, position-2-FOR THE MOST POPULAR ALBUM 86 and immediately with 3 titles of the album the position-8-/12-/-15-in the section " of the BEST TITLES OF 1986 ".

But the happy and successful start quickly took an abrupt end. Since because of considerable differences between Robert Schroeder, father of Double Fantasy, and the publishing label IC-Digit-music Schroeder delivered no more other productions. During the many years' lawsuit around the first and only Schroeder's production Double Fantasy / Universal Ave. If IC put a similarly sounding product under the name to Dancing Fantasy in the world. Against the rumours would be made here clear that Robert Schroeder deals with these decay product ions nothing, except that he is the originator, initiator and doer of original stand-in fantasy and merely one sensational successful album Double Fantasy / Universal Ave. has produced and has published. Also Schroeder nothing deals with the 1994 with IC-Digit appeared album Dancing Fantasy/Food for fantasy. Probably, however, it was pursued here Namenklau, because Schroeder's spare project for Double Fantasy should run under the name Food For fantasy. A known radio presenter had announced this in 1994 also in a broadcasting. A month later appeared the just named IC product of Daning Fantasy.go to the follow-up project FOOD FOR FANTASY

In the beginning of 1987 Robert Schroeder published the No.-8- of his solo career. TIMEWAVES is a trip by the times of the history of the electronic devices and synthesizers. Here many mood pictures which have developed from the almost 20 years now synthesizer history are united. From meditation through sound collagen, soft electronics and nice-sounding SynthiPop rhythms. Especially the CD version TIMEWAVES is with her more than 60-minute repertoire once again a masterpiece which received validity with idea, composition, production and sound as a reference for 1987. Since Schroeder reached with his album TIMEWAVES in the "West German Radio" oscillations choice in '87 dreamlike orders:TIMEWAVES was appointed the third-best album of 1987, Robert Schroeder to the second-most popular artist and the title THE MESSAGE to the best title, to the No.-1-of 1987.

  Cover: Robert Schroeder / Driftin'

"Traditional" electronic music mostly counted as a medium of the relaxation and often also as escape means before the reality, in a free imagination world. A kind of drug which to the listener the problems of the everyday life help to edge out and the thoughts should take time off.Robert Schroeder counteracted against this standard and developed for his LP/CD published in January, 1989 of DRIFTIN' a new draught. This draught assumed a new consciousness, with the production, as well as while hearing the music. Of DRIFTIN' originated under the objective that motivating, stimulating of thought and forces-stimulating effect originates with the listener and he positions himself positively to his situation. With DRIFTIN' Schroeder puts a clear counterpoint to the "traditional" electronic music once more. Of DRIFTIN' offers a successful and interesting combination of meditation, dance rhythmics and earwigs suspected of hit. While a good 50% of the repertoire exists of shorter titles and more the friends of the commercial sounds speaks in, the lovers of the "marathon electronics titles" with ELEMENT on no account come (approx. 32-min.) too briefly. The success of Schroeder of new concept was confirmed by numerous positive media reactions. In the West German Radio (radio) "oscillation choice in '88" Robert with his production of DRIFTIN' received the following orders: In the section" of the best titles of 1988 " immediately 2 titles of the album could assert themselves, ELEMENT on place 11 and DRIFTIN on place 17, the album was chosen the 3.best " album of 1988 " and Robert Schroeder to the 4.most popular " artist of 1988 ".

In 1991 Robert Schroeder separated from the da-music Ltd and founded his own label NEWS-music. The publications of Schroeder were finished anyway already for some years around by Robert and his well-functioning employees, including all Drumherums. And if one does anyhow already everything, one can also found, as well as Robert, own label.A risqué jump still, because under the long-standing collaboration with da-music was available the Schroeder's catalogue already in many lands all around the globe. Now this distribution network had to be built up once more for NEWS-music.

As a foundation debut served of Schroeder NEWS-music immediately a jubilee album, with his own 10ten Solo album. HAMAJA is the title of new Robert Schroeder published on 20.09.1991 as a CD.

The separation from da-music brought for Schroeder, in any case, none artistically / to musical disadvantages. On the contrary, HAMAJA was generally evaluated by KEYBOARDS (notebook 3/92) as the best Robert Schroeder-Album. The fact that still the name " king of the meditation " is entitled to the artist after his 10ten production, March / 92 was confirmed again by the style magazine in the notebook as an answer to HAMAJA.

HAMAJA is an animation for the senses, synthesizer music for the mind, for the heart and the soul. HAMAJA - meditative sphere sounds, romantic melodies and dynamic rhythm part - a synthisibles work for sensitive hours. "HAMAJA" comes from the Hebrew and signifies " place of the shelter ". And exactly for that Robert Schroeder has created his work HAMAJA. " HAMAJA - this is no place in which you sit or where you can look. HAMAJA is the place which you prepare for yourself where you are alone with your thoughts, feelings and senses. Create this place where always you would want and whenever you need him. If you have found your quite individual place, HAMAJA enjoys, unites your forces with your imagination and you will find your quite personal place - a place of the shelter - HAMAJA " (Edgar Thönnissen).

On 20.11.1993 the Aachen sound artist published his 74-minute work MINDWALK (NEWS-CD-11.011). MINDWALK was created with a lot of love to the detail in for two-year-old production time. 11te solo album exists partly of rhythmical, tuneful Instrumental titles (Synthi, drums, guitar) and partially sphere, meditation and sound sceneries. Some titles were composed especially for live appearances. They originated in 1990 on the occasion of the MINDWALK concert oscillations-live, NIGHT MUSIC in the West German Radio (Cologne, 3.3.1990).The repertoire of this successful concert was reconstructed, taken up anew, complemented and produced. Here it was, above all, about it, the atmosphere, the mood of this live event without bringing the undesirable side effects and in the good studio sound on CD. With the "mood" it depended less on the public mood, than rather on the mood of the musicians. This "feeling" should be transferred. MINDWALK also contains a SKYWALKER remake, here already in 9ter version. SKYWALKER (1983) counts with live concerts always to the popular Schroeder's repertoire. GUITRONIC, the DreamShocker, takes a special place, in Schroeder's MINDWALK concert, as well as on the present CD. GUITRONIC does not adapt itself so easily in the available stereotype " electronic music ". GUITRONIC is hard, crude and aggressive - a DreamShocker - an experiment. With the MINDWALK concert in Cologne the shining string pointed of Schroeder live guitarist Charly Buechel to the audience. The effect with the audience: The best of the evening! Clear, this title had to go on CD.However, MINDWALK also exists of new titles which were played neither live, nor were published up to now. FOLLOW ME - to thought go - softly dahinschweben - switch off; Klaus mayor has said in 1980 to Schroeder's music: " If there is generally contemporary romantic music, it is from Robert Schroeder ". With MINDWALK-tracks like FOLLOW ME or FROM A DISTANCE Schroeder also does justice even today to this label. IMPRESSIONS is of fresh Rhythm'n'Sound. Old-analogous Sequencer sounds with modern Drumsets, easy to remember guitar reef and 138-bpm get going the imagination - impressions become free.

(1998)
In 1979 the publication could be celebrated by Robert Schroeder's debut album Harmonic Ascendant. In 1998 the artist on the occasion of a duplicate of birthday published a anniversary album with the title D.MO Vol.1. This double birthday referred once to 20 years of music Robert Schroeder and to second on the 20-year-old birthday of Schroeder son Klaus. Since Klaus was the "key to the music" for Robert. Hence, D.Mo/Vol.1 exists as regards content only of music which Robert had taken up in that time, but had never published. The tracks leave genuine, therefore, the atmosphere from that time comes across especially well.

(2005) Who after longer time of the abstinence since the last Robert Schroeder-VÖ (D.Mo, in 1998 cue-rec.) now in his topical album brainCHIPS hineinhört, will be clearly surprised. One can hear the finest electronic music in the further matured Schroeder's style here, indeed, at first, but absolutely anew for the artist and probably also for his experts is the application of song. The singer Rahal Brimil could be inspired here by Schroeder's new compositions. The special: Rahal sings not only in up to 7 languages, he connects this even within a song, multilingual. There have become acquainted both musicians with a Jam session in Aachen. Resemble musical interests generated the idea to let CD einsingen Rahal once spontaneously on just newly originating Schroeder. The result is convincing. There originated a music absolutely detached by the usual structures, timeless and simply nice music which invites to the dream and staying. Rhythmically music and song play consciously sometimes mutually what leads to a very interesting and just detached atmosphere.BrainCHIPS is different than one might expect from Robert Schroeder. A time jump after 7-year "time out" which the Aachen artist had allowed himself after 20 years of music once. But of course one does not remain uncreative, in such a "time out" musically. And thus could develop brainCHIPS absolutely freely and informally. brainCHIPS are embedded Masterpieces for brain, musical tidbits, in a trip by different spheres of the music. And if the CD is after 74 minutes, unfortunately, to an end, you must begin them over and over again, switch so then immediately on repeat.

For pure instrumental fans it was published brainCHIPS also as an instrumental version. No less interesting, particularly as the spherical track 10 was played in Thus check Me plus, in addition, by Robert Schroeder with E guitar. But also the remaining tracks contribute her part if it is about good electronic music. Whether spherical or rhythmically - brainCHIPS offers musical variety, change and interesting new sounds. A lot of fun.

Back again. Schroeder's DOUBLE FANTASY – the original

This is the one and only real true original sound of Robert Schroeder 's “DOUBLE FANTASY” and the 2nd album after the successful debut “Universal Ave.” (1986). The style of DOUBLE FANTASY especially in the USA was called “californian dreamin'” when it entered the US-Charts. Robert Schroeder 's DOUBLE FANTASY are now called FOOD 4 FANTASY with a new guitar player Phil Molto. This second album follows the typical style and sound of Universal Ave. The new CD „the secret of dreamin'“ gives you the feeling of sun, freedom, adventure, excitement and total relaxation.

When Lambert Ringlage, owner of the German EM-label SPHERIC MUSIC, heard the CD of FOOD 4 FANTASY, he was very astonished. He said: „wow, what a real good work you have done! Cool sounds! The right music to drive long distances on highways.“

With this over 77 minutes long CD, Robert Schroeder has produced an equivalent follow-up album to Universal Ave. With "the secret of dreamin'" you will consciously regain the old feeling of Double Fantasy very quickly, and by the way, it is a very good feeling to be able to listen to that follow-up album. The CD The Secret Of Dreamin' of FOOD 4 FANTASY was released in May 2006 on SPHERIC MUSIC. Good FOOD! Have great pleasure!

  Cover Robert Schroeder /SphereWare

The 16th solo CD by Robert Schroeder is called SphereWare. The over 76 minutes long CD will be released on the 24th of August, 2007 with Spheric Music in Germany. The CD title allows to anticipate that one may also expect accordingly spherical music on SphereWare. The new album distinguishes itself especially by new interesting sounds, big change variety and good production sound. Robert has used new Software-Synthis and Sequencer for the production. The result is a successful mixture of analogous and digital sounds and atmospheres. Robert has renounced guitar part with SphereWare as much as possible. Merely on the exactly 15 minutes long track "A Quarter Of An Hour" e-guitar lines of Robert are to be heard, these, however, also very much made unfamiliar with software like the Guitar-Rig. Pure Chill-Out, cosmically, spacey rhythmically, romantically, full of suspense and relaxing is the new CD SphereWare of Robert Schroeder.

  CD cover NATTEFROST /Transformation

Already in 2007 Robert Schroeder as well as Bjørn Jeppesen (Denmark) played and produced the track Winterland for the NATTEFROST abum Underneath The Nightsky. Also on the new NATTEFROST album (release March 2008, Groove Ltd., NL) Robert has composed and produced two more tracks together with Bjørn. Perfectly Connected is the result of a perfect conection, here related to the Internet and the possibilities of today, to produce music in the distance of different countries. Kopenhaachen is, like the name already says, a fusion between Copenhagen, at home of Bjørn, and Aachen, the hometown by Robert. Phil Molto (Food For Fantasy) brought the guitars in.

CD cover Robert Schroeder /D.MO Vol.2

„D.MO Vol.2“ is the second publication of a series with old recordings of Robert Schroeder. The music of these over 70 minutes long CD was recorded between 1980 and 1983 in his recording studio in Aachen.
The tracks were not published until today. Among them are also titles of the project named "NOMAD" planned at that time by Robert. The recordings were kept as far as possible authentic. Only one or other effect sound was added, in order to supplement something incomplete passages.

The CD opens with the Vocoder title "Hello”. However with simple clear words Robert introduces himself rhythmically swinging. Characteristic sounds are here the sequences of the PPG-Wave2. "The NOMAD Theme2" begins with typical analogue sequences, here in the unmistakably own sound of self built Synthesizers. The PPG choirs betray a brand name of Robert belonged gladly (easy flutters are forgiven, the tapes are 25 years old). "Door to Heaven" begins with similar sequences in the down tempo and ends in the rhythmic up tempo with an alive solo. A very experimental track. "StarLights" is typical Galaxy-Cygnus-A feeling: The sequences, the choirs and the solo melodies. "Wired Systems" is a very atmospheric and melodic track, which carries again its unusual character also here by the tone qualities of self built sequencer and synthesizer. "SpringTime" is coined/shaped by Minimoog bass and EMU Drums, sounds a little like Skywalker , good mood and spring. The melodic ear worm track is surely one of the highlights. "Analogue Vibes" is the absolute highlight on D.MO Vol.2. A rhythmically interesting and unusual track.

The music was partly brought in with self built and partly with industrial manufactured devices. Sound of production clear very dynamic for conditions at that time and was reached by a self built 24-chanel-mixer by Robert. In addition different self built Synthesizers was used, preferentially for expirations of sequences. The drums was brought in with the EMU Drumulator and the Sequencial Drumtraks. The remaining sounds come of the PPG Wave-2, Multimoog, Minimoog, Juno60 and Roland Vocoder 350.

The music from the first days of the EM carries an unmistakable character, which is still worthy also today, to be published and to be heard. The spirit of the time of the 80's EM is conserved and nearly later rather at beauty and warm atmosphere won 30 years with D.MO Vol.2 outstanding. Much fun with the old timers of the EM by Robert Schroeder.

  Cover Food4Fantasy
Fruits Of Fantasy is the title of the 2008 CD by the Duo FOOD FOR FANTASY. The previous album The Secret OF Dreamin' (Spheric Music, 2006) was the revival of the legendary project DOUBLE FANTASY.

Now, the artists DREAMSTAR and PHIL MOLTO present a fantastic new album. FOOD4FANTASY is according to standard particularly characterised by its own musical style, which Robert Schroeder had created end of the 80's with its project DOUBLE FANTASY and so that especially in the USA celebrated large successes. The fresh sound of modern Synthesizers combined with spherical E-guitar melodies support the excellent compositions and arrangements of this new F4F album Fruits OF Fantasy. Also the highly dissolving 24bit production offers very high dynamics and a generally clear transparent sound. Analogue sounds, groovy sequences and rhythms, beautiful melodies and warm guitar sounds evoke a spacey atmosphere, associating a gentle summer breeze and a feeling of sun, freedom, adventure, experience and relaxation.

This fresh summer feeling is supported also by the cover design of the CD. The name FOOD FOR FANTASY refers not only to the music, but also to the fruity cover motives. While The Secret OF Dreamin' is dedicated to the design of the Kiwi fruit, the new album Fruits OF Fantasy features the lemon as its formative element. Also future CD cover will feature artistically designed fruits. For art lovers and collectors the cover will soon be available in a glass framework in a size of 30 X 30 cm.

The 8 tracks of this new Electronic Music CD offer different atmospheres, from spherically dreamy Downbeat to rhythmically lively Upbeat. Also fans of longer tracks will enjoy this new album. All in all this release, produced by Robert Schroeder, should come up to all expectations one has for good electronic music. The CD Fruits OF Fantasy of FOOD 4 FANTASY is scheduled for publication in September 2008, of course on Lambert Ringlage's SPHERIC MUSIC (catalogue number: SMCD-2013). Have much fun.

  Cover Robert Schroeder /Taste It
T a s t e.. I t

It is an exciting moment, when putting an unheard CD the first time in your player. You don't know what to expect. But if you listen to the first track of TASTE IT, you soon become curious of all other tracks of the CD.

Thunders, fine showers, sound serpentines and synthesized ducks hurl in loops under sweet bongo percussions. A soft and charming track where we imagine being in the shade under palm trees, admiring the beach while listening to a futuristic band in the strange eclectic tribal tones. The title track, which opens Taste It, is a warm tribal serenade of a fanciful jungle that grabs to a syncopated bass rhythmic, encircled by lavish synth solos as warm as this imaginary fauna.
Here is what we can expect from Robert Schroeder's 19th opus Taste It.

Pacing up and down the meanders of its imagination and its curiosity for the progressive sounds, the German synthesist enriches his last opus of 9 melodious titles which stumble in a futuristic universe where the rhythms are next to ambient structures with a warm fusionSweets of Paradise is a small wonder which begins innocently before rolling on furious percussions. A groovy piece of music tinted of a soft nebulosity thanks to a foggy synth with charming vocal breaths and chords of nostalgic keyboard which dance under a strange flute of a clan world, taken out straight from Schroeder imagination. Smooth A Sensitive Touch flows under a synth to eye-catching waves in a foggy orchestrations. A beautiful title where the sensualist and the dreaming grind in a slow structure, strewed with percussions at once suggestive and unstitched in a cosmic melancholy.
Capricorn spits fire with an intro that explodes on percussions to heterogeneous echoes. A spatial techno which would make the score of a Spielberg movie. But Capricorn spreads its movement on a very melodious structure with its arpeggios which roll in loops on percussions as agile as nervous and a magnificent synth to essences of spatial violins in a universe sound to miles whims. A magnificent title which amazes, considering its strange opening. The Third Kind is for hardened ears. A gliding intro where choirs graft to a dark corridor to sonorities as strange as little inviting.

Weakly the movement wakes up under percussions and inconsistent rhythmic with metallic sonority where everything takes place in slow motion. A surprising sound confusion which stumbles on this slow rhythm, almost atonal, but stuffed with a sound world so rich that we forget its morphic apathy. Time Cruiser is an ideal title for rubbing abs. A cosmic slow dance filled with syncretic tones on very sober keys. Although very ordinary, Fata Morgana is a melodious title which resumes the essence of the title track, without having however everything of its caustic. Heavy reverberation duped by fine percussions, a ghostly synth and a waving rhythmic open magnificent Dreamchecker. The structure becomes more stroboscopic and livelier with a beautiful line of bass, a keyboard with hopping arpeggios and a circular synth to spectral breaths which cross human sighs and distant one Celestine voice. A beautiful piece of music which is a prelude to the nostalgic Reminded Of Paradise. Nostalgic because the track is tinted with this musical structure that made the delights of Paradise, without falling into vulgar plagiarism. Minimalism pounding chords accompanied with male voices and a synth to imaginative solos charm our hearing on a hypnotic, bewitching and lively structure, in a sound universe so colourful as the insatiable appetite for Schroeder sound quest. A real small jewel.Without being brilliant, Taste It is in the same vein as Spherware; an album where the sound variety molds structures where the ambient measure rhythms as astounding as strange in a cosmic bewitchment which made Robert Schroeder's trade mark A very good album which is going to please both fans of Schroeder and amateurs of a music freed from of all musical borders.

With his legendary debut album Harmonic Ascendant in 1979 Robert Schroeder started his 30 years long career as musician and sound creator of Electronic Music. Its useful to call this new and 19th solo work 30 Years After . Music and cover artwork connects the past and present days.

It was the Minimoog , the PPG , the ARP or KORG-synthesizer , which once earned us a new kind of music, which enchanted us and gave us dreams and has to be level today. Electronic Music is a new term for a new type of music since the 70s. Pink Floyd, Kraftwerk, Klaus Schulze and Tangerine Dream were pioneers, paving the way for this new music.
On his new CD “30 Years After” Robert Schroeder has crossed the sounds and atmospheres of once with the current opportunities. A short cut from Harmonic Ascendant opens this varied CD.
Track 2 – a total change of scenery, groovy rhythms and still exciting atmosphere. Deep sphere sounds leads Hypnotics over to the postmodern title All You Can Dream. A shared downbeat track with discreet voice samples and exciting arrangement and - how in films - it has a happy end. Modifiers is an upbeat-analogue-sequencer-power-track with flying elements, powerful, massive and spacey. Let it flow ... the title is program. A relaxed and very characteristic downbeat track with great tunes, atmospheres and sounds - dream and fly away. Destination Galactica is Electronic Music a' la Berlin School by the finest, horny sequences, choirs and ARP melodies in the 70s / 80s years style, as we like it. The track glides in deep spheres over to A New Message, a piece of dreams, soul and sliding. Similar economy to the legendary The Message, the successful track from the 80's, are certainly felt. It's not wrong, just listen to the great track with a lovely downbeat atmosphere. The other tracks you should not miss.

All in all 30 Years After is a well mixed concept album with a lot of variety, traditional and modern electronic sounds. You will experience this CD on good headphones as exciting and varied journey - your journey.
