Robert Schroeder selfbuilt-synthesizer No.1 (ca. 1978) Here the first modular selfbuilt synthesizer of Robert Schroeder is to be seen. To the left of it, in addition, one still sees the first selfbuilt "sound producers" who could be used exclusively to the production from "twitter -and bubble-sounds". (On the right of it) only the modular selfbuilt system allowed the plays with tones by means of a keyboard. This existed of beginning, however, only of a board with contact surfaces. It was played on it monophonic with a contact stylus. The photo of this synthesizer was used, by the way (colour-changed) as cover for the CD "D.MO Vol.1" (1998). |

Robert Schroeder selfbuilt-synthesizer No.2 (ca. 1978) Still in the same year Robert Schroeder has developed his second modular synthesizer on the basis of the predecessor's model and has built. Then this module system could be also played with a real keyboard. With these to do-it-yourself construction synthesizers accumulated here Robert Schroeder has also done his music of which Klaus Schulze drew the attention to Roberts music. Also the debut album HARMONIC ASCENDANT was played in predominantly with this equipment. |

Moreover Robert Schröder also wrote his book " Sequencer, a music computer " (Franzi's publishing company, in 1979) which allowed the do-it-yourself construction of such a system. |
