Problems of CD-Rs can be

CD case, booklet and inlay card are different in any case not negative from the original factory CD. Rather, they have the advantage that the booklets are printed in color inside, while the CDs out of the factory production inside are mostly black and white. The prints are just like the industrial goods, printed on high quality glossy paper.
The label of the CD-R can be printed by ink jet process and protected with a UV coating layer against scratches and environmental influences. The colors of the label printing are bright and brilliant. No difference from the factory made CDs.
So it is only to differences in the blank itself.
There are test comparisons (www.testberichte.de) representing the relationship between the various blanks and its sound characteristics.
Only the winner will be used as blanks .
